OUR WORK
MS METAL SOLUTIONS
MS Metal Solutions contacted us in the fall of 2011. At the time they consisted of two companies, MS tube Technologies and AWS. They decided that decided it would be in their best interest to merge into one company thus MS Metal Solutions was born. MS needed a facility that could house the two companies and also have room for expansion. They came across a 290,000 square foot facility that fit their needs. The facility was built in the 1950’s and had seen its fair share of building maintenance neglect. The facility had also been sitting vacant since 2006. Every surface in the facility was in desperate need of restoration if it was to meet the vision that MS had for their new company.
OTS met with the owner to evaluate the industrial epoxy flooring based on a recommendation from Sherwin Williams. During discussions on what it was going to take to transform the badly damaged floor into a workable, profitable production area it was brought to the owners' attention that OTS could skillfully take on the task of restoring not only the flooring but could also perform abrasive media blasting on the ceiling, painting of the ceiling, walls, machinery, offices, and exterior of the facility. Knowing that trying to coordinate the efforts of multiple companies can be difficult MS decided to have OTS take on the task of restoring the entire facility. This also allowed for OTS to complete the project in phases which in turn allowed MS to move machinery into the new facility as we completed each phase
minimizing down production time.
As a result of the restoration MS now has a clean, well manicured facility that they can proudly bring current and potential clients into. It was vital to MS to really drive into clients minds that they are able to maintain and operate a great looking facility while profitably manufacturing their clients products.
GREEN ACRES FARMERS MARKET
Green Acres Farm Market is a local Mom and Pop business here in Grand Haven, MI. They have invested in the buildings image quite extensively over the years trying to enhance their image and appeal to customers that drive past their location on U.S.31. When they acquired the building it had been an auto mechanics shop. Transforming an auto shop into a facility that has enough appeal to sell food to its customers is a necessity.
The farm market has had every surface restored with the exception of the concrete floor. Green Acres contacted OTS based on a referral from another business owner in the area that OTS had worked for. During the evaluation OTS learned that there were two main issues with the floor, major pitting, and the saturation levels of oil in the cement residual from the days when the market was an auto shop. Being a Mom and Pop business they had a budget they were committed to while also achieving an aesthetically pleasing surface that was slip resistant. OTS put together a process that would provide the desired results without going over budget.
Green Acres now has the safe, smooth floor that they desired for their customers to shop on. With the completion of the floor the building now has the image that owners' had dreamt of many years ago.
FALCON TOOL
Falcon Tool contacted OTS with the need to have three of their presses cleaned and painted. The owner desired that the presses needed to be painted the same colors. This would be the first steps of transforming the image of the facility. Falcon wanted to hire a company that had the capabilities to quickly and efficiently clean and paint the presses one at a time when an opportunity presented itself. It is a rare occasion that the presses do not have a die being run inside of it.
As the presses opened up OTS was onsite working long hard hours to complete the restoration to minimize the time that the press could not be used. The owner being very impressed with the quality and speed of our work has suggested that he will have us return to restore the facilities ceilings and walls. The owner has also hired OTS to install decorative epoxy around his pool, and garage at his residence.
