IPE DECKING

Ipe (pronounced EE-pay) is arguably the strongest and best quality wood decking material available today. It is 3 times stronger than Cedar and 8 times harder than California Redwood. It is an exotic hardwood that is highly resistant to mold, decay, insects, and rot, and will last for many years with minimal maintenance. Ipe’s tight grain provides excellent slip resistance and durability, and it is used in many commercial and residential applications. We use Ipe decking for our West Michigan and Grand Haven customers because of its natural beauty, its resilience, its ease of care, its resistance to the elements, and its ability to withstand wear and tear as well as the harshest West Michigan weather conditions. Ipe will stay cool even in direct sunlight. It is far less expensive than teak, while offering equal beauty and far more strength.
